IV OPERATION and MAINTENANCE
1. ALLWAYS perform maintenance operations when the device is OFF/unplugged.
2. Every day, before the first salt therapy session, check if the grinder blades are moving freely – sometimes, mainly because of humidity/not cleaning the grinder well, the blade might get stuck, and simply rotating it will free it. This daily routine is mandatory to ensure the long life of the motor/grinder mechanism.
3. At the end of every session – evacuate the residual salt from the grinder and add a new salt supply using the measure provided.
4. Check the aerosol production by dimming the lights inside the salt room and pointing the beam of the flashlight (provided)toward the grinder cap - you could show to your clients the flow of aerosols produced.
5. At the end of every day, clean up the grinder and the fan – this will ensure long-lasting life for your device.
For a better/faster cleaning process use an air duster device, just search “air duster” on Amazon. Alternatively, a duster can could be used.
6. Ensure that under any circumstances, the humidity inside the salt room is under 50%. If the Humidity exceeds 50%, remove the device from inside the salt room and clean it well using the air duster or brush, and a dry towel. Install the device inside the salt room after the humidity is under 50%.
7. If the fan needs to be replaced at one point, unmount the defective one and install the replacement fan provided. Always perform this operation with the device OFF and unplugged.
Not following the instruction regarding the operating, maintenance, working environment and cleaning procedures will waive the warranty.
V TROUBLESHOOTING
1. No power:
Make sure the device is plugged in and the switch is turned ON
Check if the electrical outlet is functional by plugging in a different device
check if the power supply is well inserted into the wall outlet or the halogenerator
Replace the power supply
2. Fan not working:
If the grinder works and the display is ON – the fan needs to be replaced – contact us for advice
3. The fan rotates slower than normal:
Salt accumulated on the blades, clean up the blades
The halogenerator is mounted too close to the wall
4. Grinder not working:
Observe the display on the halogenerator when it shows W in progress
Unplug the device, clean up the grinder of residual salt
With the halogenerator unplugged rotate the blades by hand, if not rotating at all – the motor is blocked – contact us
5. Any unusual noises, or behavior – observe the cause and eliminate it if possible, if not – contact us.
6. No salt aerosols production:
The grinder or the fan not working or working improperly – see above
The salt used is too humid – dry the salt before using it according to the instructions
The cap’s grinder side and the top hole are clogged with salt – clean up, unclog the cap
Use the flashlight to check the aerosol production
7. If possible, send us a short video clip that will show your device’s issue.

PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE SALT
For best results in Halotherapy, only pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride of small granulation is required, dry and free of additives. We do not advise using other salts, such as sea salt, iodized salt, or Himalayan salt, as these contain other ingredients besides sodium chloride.
The salt used in Halotherapy needs to undergo a few steps:
Unpacking and checking granulation, impurities, and clumps. If granulation is higher than standard USP sodium chloride – do not use it. Salt is highly hygroscopic – it will attract humidity from the environment and may form clumps. If clumps are present – use a kitchen mortar to break them.
The drying process is essential in creating high-quality salt aerosols with true therapeutic values: under 1-micron size, weight light that will be airborne farther into the salt room and stay longer in the air. Equally important, small dry aerosols will travel deeper into the airways and have an enhanced therapeutic effect.
To properly dry sodium chloride, use a stainless steel or glass pot without cover, pour the salt into the pot no more than one inch thick, and heat the pot to 270F using either an electric induction plate or a convection oven (do not use a microwave oven!). Keep the pot at 270F for one hour and occasionally stir; this way, the humidity is eliminated from sodium chloride. Keep the dry salt in an air-sealed container (with a cap) filled with salt to the top. Over time, after using part of the salt, place a larger sachet of silica inside the container to absorb the humidity from the air inside the container. Keep the container closed all the time.
